DeWayne Foust
Owner

DeWayne and Denise Foust, co-owners of The Melting Pot Restaurant of San Antonio have more than 36 years combined in the customer service industry. As residents of Florida, the Fousts frequented The Melting Pot, America’s largest national fondue restaurant, and each time had a fantastic dining experience.

Although not natives of Texas, DeWayne and Denise vouch they got here as soon as they could. They discovered upon arrival that The Melting Pot had no locations in San Antonio. Because the Fousts could not take their friends and family to their favorite restaurant in Florida, they decided to bring their favorite restaurant to San Antonio. After months of hard work, strategic planning, and dedicated preparation, the Fousts and their team opened The Melting Pot to the public in August of 2004, offering four-course dinners including fine quality cheese fondues, salad, entrées with flavorful cooking selections and fabulous dipping sauces, and mouthwatering chocolate fondues.

The Fousts have incorporated their love of great food and fine wines into The Melting Pot, working very closely with vendors to ensure a well-rounded wine selection. Their restaurant offers a grand view of an elaborate wine room which displays more than 2,000 bottles of fine wine, both foreign and domestic. Notable wines include the Opus One, Penfolds Grange, and Chateau Mouton Rothschild.

Not only are they dedicated restaurateurs, they are also committed philanthropists. Annually, The Melting Pot of San Antonio aggressively participates in campaigns for charitable causes including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, who last year received more than $16,000 on their behalf.
