Family owned and operated, Deanie’s Seafood is a New Orleans tradition known for serving huge portions of fresh Louisiana seafood prepared with Deanie’s Signature Creole Seasonings. The first seafood market to open its doors in the quaint fishing village of Bucktown, Deanie’s Seafood operates three successful restaurants today, in Bucktown, in the historic French Quarter and our newest restaurant concept located on Magazine Street in the Garden District. Chef / Owner Barbara Chifici

Barbara Chifici has been Deanie’s Seafood Restaurants proprietor for the last 30 years. A New Orleans native, Barbara began her culinary journey at a young age spending much of her childhood in the kitchens of her family’s restaurants. Barbara accompanied her husband Frank as he attended the famous Le Cordon Bleu culinary school in Paris and together they returned to New Orleans where they opened several restaurants before focusing their efforts on Deanie’s Seafood Restaurant, which they took over in 1982.

Barbara’s has worked with chefs around the country and cooked for national political figures, celebrities and sport personalities. She has participated as a judge in food contests around the country and was recognized by the American Culinary Federation New Orleans Chapter as one of the top Foodservice Professionals during its annual "Best Chefs of Louisiana" Awards in 2013.
