Executive Chef, Kevin Stevens

Kevin Stevens was well on his way to becoming an engineer when he discovered his love for cooking. While studying at Clemson University, Stevens happened to take a part-time job as a line cook and he quickly realized he enjoyed culinary arts more than computer programming. The rest, as they say, is history.

Stevens joined the Ruth’s Chris family in 2014 as sous chef at the original Greenville restaurant. He continued to flourish in this role and was named Executive Chef of Ruth’s Chris Steak House – Greenville at I-385 in 2016. Stevens’ ongoing attention to detail and unrivaled passion for creating beautiful cuisine from superior quality ingredients continues to ensure the guest dining experience at Ruth’s Chris is second to none.

Prior to joining Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Stevens worked his way up through the ranks at Outback Steakhouse, where he started as a line cook in 2007 and rose to the ranks of Kitchen Manager before his departure in 2014.

Originally from Hilton Head, S.C., Stevens moved to the Greenville area in 2002 for school and has called the Upstate \ home ever since. When Stevens is away from the kitchen, he enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, Sarah, and his two dogs, Felix and Lucy.
