Mike began honing his craft at the age of 16, with "on the job" training in his hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota. He flew south and landed on Captiva Island in 1986. Since then, Mike has been serving Sanibel-Captiva residents, and their visitors for over 25 years. Chef Mike’s attention to detail, quality, and consistency – and range of tastes and menu choices – has made Traders a culinary treasure for all.
