Executive Chef, Melissa Akin
Chef Melissa graduated from the New England Culinary Institute in 1998. After graduating, Melissa moved to SW Florida in 1999 and started her career at the Sanibel Harbor Resort and Spa. Chef Melissa joined Cielo in 2015 as Pastry Chef and took over as Executive Chef in January 2018 after showcasing her knowledge of pastries, food and multiple cuisines. Since joining Cielo, Melissa has been featured in Naples Illustrated, GulfShore Life Magazine and Bon Appetit along with being the Pastry Chef and Host Chef for the James Beard Foundations Celebrity Chef Tour at Cielo Restaurant.
