Executive Chef: Jason Daling
Jason Dalling joined The Fairmont Pittsburgh as executive chef in November 2012. Chef “JD,” as he is known, brings over 20 years of restaurant experience to his role in the Habitat and Fairmont kitchens. Originally from Vancouver, JD began cooking professionally at age 14. After working in fine dining rooms and various hotel companies, JD joined Canadian Pacific, the precursor to Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, in 1992 and held progressive positions at The Fairmont Hotel MacDonald and The Fairmont Jasper Lodge. He joined The Fairmont Washington, D.C. in 2004 as executive sous chef and was promoted to executive chef in 2008. JD obtained his Journeyman’s Red Seal Certificate from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and cycling.
