SEARED TUNA STEAK ON MIXED BABY GREENS WITH GINGER-SOY DRESSING

Ingredients

4 Pieces of 8 oz fresh Tuna Loin Steaks
1 T Course Sea Salt
Fresh Ground Black Pepper
Fresh Mixed Herbs, chopped
Mixed Baby Lettuces
1 Red Onion, thinly sliced
1 European Cucumber, cut into sticks
1 pint Radish Sprouts
To Garnish Toasted White adn Black Sesame Seeds

Method

  • Blend ginger, soy, vinegar and fish sauce.
  • Slowly add oil to form an emulsion.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Season tuna with salt, pepper and herbs.
  • In a cast iron skillet or BBQ hot plate, sear tuna to desired temperature.
  • Allow to cool slightly and slice.
  • In a bowl, add all salad ingredients and dress with 1/2 the amount of dressing.
  • Arrange salad on serving platter, place tuna on top and finish with the remaining dressing.
