Steamed Mussels



20-25 mussels
1 Tbsp. chopped garlic
1 Tbsp. chopped shallots
1 knob of butter, unsalted
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 sprig of thyme
½ c. white wine
¼ c. heavy whipping cream
sprinkle salt & pepper
chopped parsley


1. Combine all ingredients in a saute pan, then heat another saute pan, the same size.
2. Invert the pan with all the ingredients into the hot pan using it as a lid to steam the mussels.
3. Shake the pan. When all the mussels are open, they are cooked.
4. Serve in large bowl, sprinkle with chopped parsley.
