Ingredients for Grits

1 cup grits
½ stick butter
½ qt. whipping cream
3 cups water
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. white pepper  

Method for Grits

In a small saucepan, add all ingredients EXCEPT grits.  Bring to a boil.  Add grits and turn off the heat. Stir occasionally uncovered.
