Executive Chef, Derek Wilson

Derek graduated from Ashland University in 1994 with a degree in Business Administration with a minor in Hospitality Management. A strong interest in food took him to the Pennsylvania Culinary Institute where he continued his education. After graduating Valedictorian in 1997, Derek started his cooking career at Great Lakes Brewery. While working at Great Lakes he developed a keen interest in beer and matching foods with the different brewing styles. In 2005 Derek took his talents to Sushi Rock where he picked up his fusion style along with a myriad of presentation skills. Early in 2009 an opportunity to become the Chef at a brew pub became available and he jumped at the chance to marry his love of beer to fun food with flare. One look at the interesting items on the Fat Heads menu makes his unique style of cooking very apparent.
