Blue Oak BBQ

In 2012, New Orleans Natives Ronnie Evans and Philip Moseley saw the need for top-notch Barbecue in the city. They decided to start smoking meats in a small pop-up inside of the Uptown dive bar, Grits, and then quickly transitioned to a new location inside Chickie Wah-Wah. Four years and thousands of pounds of meats later, they have graduated to their new, state-of-the-art Mid-City BBQ emporium, where they are serving up some of the city’s finest smoked meats, sides and sandwiches.

Where there’s smoke…there’s Central City BBQ. In 2016, Aaron Burgau, Marc Bonifacic and partners restored a building in historic “Central City” New Orleans. There they combined their passion for smoke, fire, and whole hog barbecue. With two fifteen foot big screen tv’s and our inviting outdoor patio, Central City BBQ is a great place to come eat, drink and hangout.

Pascal’s Manale

This vintage Uptown standby has been serving its famous New Orleans Barbeque Shrimp since 1953. The shrimp are not actually barbequed, but cooked in a delectable, peppery butter sauce. Sit down and strap on a bib; the mess will be worth it. If you prefer oysters over shrimp, enjoy Pascal’s oyster bar in the front of the restaurant, where a friendly shucker will provide as many mollusks as you can muster an appetite for. Other dishes include Italian specialties, seafood and steaks. Join us to celebrate serving New Orleans for 100 years!
