Sam and Francis Bailey started the Grog shop in late 1972. Seventy three years earlier, their father, Frank P. Bailey had started the still thriving business now known as Bailey's General Store. When it opened, The Grog Shop was the only liquor store on the island. Nearly fifty years later, we remain the largest shop with the biggest selection. The shop has always supplied a carefully curated selection of wine, spirits, beer. For the cigar aficionado, we feature Sanibel's only walk-in cigar humidor. Always priding ourselves on maintaining reasonable prices, we don't charge our customers an "Island Premium".
