Murphy’s has a long and rich history, beginning in about 1890. JI Gardner originally built the Murphys building as a Mercantile and General Store with the saying ‘all goods guaranteed to be first class’. The building was renovated and the mezzanine was added in 1904! That is one vintage structure! Fork in the Road Inc. bought Murphys Restaurant from Mr. Paul Murphy in 1997 and it remains an historic landmark with exquisite cuisine, living up to the saying ‘all goods guaranteed to be first class’, to this day.
Take in the magnificent Art Deco décor while savoring exceptional cuisine like tender lamb shank, savory lobster ravioli or rib eye steak at the Peacock Dining Room. This bright and cheerful restaurant underwent a complete restoration in February 2014, creating a modern and chic ambience that complements the historic Hassayampa Inn’s timeless charm set in the downtown Historic District of Prescott, Arizona.
