This 3,500 square foot meeting space in Dallas features LED up lighting, art deco designed mirrors, 18-foot ceilings, beautiful chandeliers and sumptuous draperies.

Chef Douwe Iedema

Chef Douwe Iedema {pronounce (Dow-wha)} was born in the Netherlands in the 70s and grew up in a military family as his dad served as an American soldier and fought in the Vietnam war. Chef Douwe Iedema married a Dutch resident July 2006, Monique Sijstermans, and returned to the United States in August 2013 after living abroad for 25 years.
While living abroad Chef Douwe studied classic French cuisine in a private culinary arts school known as Karl Van Erven. After graduating with honors and top of his class Chef Douwe worked in the finest hotels and restaurants including Michelin Star Chateau Saint Gerlach before working as a freelance Chef for the past 10 years. That afforded him the chance to be involved and run some to the most important events in the world in such countries as Monte Carlo, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Slovenia, and Lausanne Switzerland. Over the years he has also worked for two supermarket chains and wrote in store card recipes, as well as holding live cooking shows every Wednesday for the chains.
When Chef Douwe made the transition to Dallas he began work at Steven Pyles' Catering as a Sous Chef before being appointed as the Banquet Chef at Northwood Country Club.
As Executive Chef at the Magnolia Hotel in Downtown Dallas, where you can currently come and enjoy his new menu, he is the head of the food and beverage division. His responsibilities include all a la carte dining, banquets and catering and in room dining. His kitchen and dining room is at the heart of his passion.
