For the past few months, the skinny on smalltalk has been a well-kept Bayview Ave. secret. Area residents cheerfully began their day with a fresh croissant and wild mushroom omelet, while the rest of the city remained in the dark. But with Jov and Rahier Patisserie nearby, it was only so long before the buzz on their restaurant filtered past the locals and out into the city at large. Although the upscale cafe ambiance lends itself more to a casual lunch and a romantic dinner, we recently discovered the 50-seater presents some stellar evening fare.
