Overlooking beautiful Marion Square, The Swamp Fox Restaurant, named for General Francis Marion, is located in the ground floor of The Historic Francis Marion Hotel. Chef de Cuisine, Ryan Kacenjar prepares menus inspired by seasonal fresh Lowcountry produce with respect to the old ways of The South. Some of the specialties of the house are the award winning shrimp and grits that captured “the best shrimp dish at the famous Charleston Shrimpin’ and Shaggin’ Festival. It’s made with locally caught shrimp and flavorful tasso ham in a rich lobster cream sauce. Other offerings are Prestige Farms chicken and dumplings, grilled angus ribeye steak with brandy butter, vine ripened tomato pie and fried chicken. Delicious desserts including our famous homemade ice creams and the warm caramel apple tart are the perfect way to end a meal. This set menu is prepared from items purchased directly across the street at the Marion Square Farmer’s Market.
