Built in 1788, McCrady’s was the favored gathering place for Charleston’s 79
early leaders and even hosted a dinner for President George Washington.
Now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the warmth and elegance
of its 220-year-old exposed brick walls and fireplaces are accented
with soaring skylights, dramatic chandeliers, bluestone tiles and a
striking two-story wine bar.
In this spectacular setting, acclaimed Chef Sean Brock extends his creative
and unique culinary style by blending classic Southern ingredients
and preparations that are truly on the forefront of modern dining. His
unwavering devotion to the freshest ingredients has led him to start McCrady’s Farm located on
Wadmalaw Island. Hand raised pigs and vegetables are grown and harvested on the farm, in his efforts
to provide the most delicious unique ingredients possible. He favors simple preparations that let these
ingredients shine through, and values consistency perhaps above all else. Chef Brock’s menus are perfectly
complemented by McCrady’s award-winning wine cellar and impeccable AAA Four-Diamond service.
McCrady’s is open for dinner seven days a week and hosts private events in the historic Long Room
and Gallery Room upstairs.
