Entrepreneurial restaurateur Stephen Starr, owner of Philadelphia's eight most trend-setting restaurants, continues to stimulate the revival of a historic block of Chestnut Street by introducing Jones, a casual comfort-food restaurant and lounge at 700 Chestnut Street. Jones, with its laid-back atmosphere, affordable fare and late-night scene adds a new element to the mix, recreating a nightlife ambiance reminiscent of Starr's Continental Martini Bar and Restaurant, a retro cocktail lounge that helped turn Old City into Philadelphia's most popular neighborhood for a night on the town. Starr hopes Jones will do for Chestnut Street what the Continental did for Old City.
