In the restaurant business for over 25 years, Tommy G.H. Wong is chef, and one of five brothers who co-own the unique Chinese restaurant, Trey Yuen. You may recognize Chef Wong, a featured chef on national TV series "Great Chefs of New Orleans", and who has also appeared on many radio and television shows in New Orleans. Chef Wong's reputation is attributed to his unique culinary skills of his combination of using the freshest local ingredients available, coupled with highly seasoned spices, and accomplished with traditional Chinese cooking techniques. The Wong's have created many signature dishes using farm raised Alligator, Lake Pontchartrain Soft Shell Crab (harvested in their backyard), Crawfish, Lump Crabmeat and many local fishes like Catfish, Flounder and Speckled Trout are featured items on their menu. Some sauces have become so popular that they now bottle for home consumption.

Chef Wong is frequently asked to appear as a guest chef, and his experiences have taken him to Oschner Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Program, San Diego's Cancer Center, Oschner's Seminar for Institutional Food Service, Local Colleges with Culinary programs, Gourmet, Cultural and Cooking Clubs as well as local businesses and Secondary Education Schools. He has also delighted passengers aboard the Norwegian Caribbean Cruise Line's, The Norway.

A fundraiser and supporter of local charities, Chef Wong has also been a guest chef and speaker for numerous local organizations and has been a featured chef for St. Michael's Chef Charity for Children for more than 15 years. With his many years of experience in the restaurant business, Chef Wong, has become a valued consultant as well as member of the Louisiana Restaurant Association, serving as a past Board of Director and Past-President of the Association's Northshore Chapter.

Chef Wong and his four brothers own and operate two 250+ seat restaurants within 35 miles of each other. Both restaurants are situated in suburban towns of Mandeville (outside of New Orleans) and Hammond (outside of Baton Rouge). Their clientele encompasses a 90-mile radius. They employ nearly 200 individuals some who have worked over 20 years. The Wong's dedication and strong work ethic emphasize loyalty, quality, consistency, value and service. The restaurants were designed by both American & Chinese Architects to immolate Chinese Palaces. Both restaurants feature imported rosewood ceilings, carved wall panels, antique furnishings, statues, artwork, an inlaid mother of pearl dining chairs. Lush gardens, waterfalls, Pagodas, Koi ponds, and giant marble lion sculptures magnify the most authentic dining experience the Wong Brothers hope their guests will experience!
