Palace Café serves contemporary Creole cuisine,
"The Flavor of New Orleans" in an upbeat and lively
grand café owned by Dickie Brennan of the famed
New Orleans restaurant family. Executive Chef
Darin Nesbit leads the culinary team. The restaurant
is housed in the historic Werlein's Music building, and
has earned national critical acclaim since it opened in
1991 including: Best New Restaurant from Esquire
Magazine and USA Today; the prestigious Ivy Award; and Wine Spectator's
Award of Excellence every year since it opened - most recently earning their
"Best of" Award of Excellence.
Whether it's lunch, live Jazz Brunch, or dinner, not a meal has gone by
without customers requesting a recipe, which led Dickie Brennan to
release: Palace Café: The Flavor of New Orleans cookbook. In praise of the
cookbook, the James Beard Foundation invited Dickie Brennan and the
Palace Café culinary team to host a dinner at the James Beard House. Be
sure to look for the Palace Café cookbook sold at the restaurant, and in
bookstores.
