| KRISPY KREAM BREAD PUDDING |

| Ingredients |
2 doz Krispy Kream Donuts, plain glazed
1 qt Heavy Cream
1/2 each Vanilla Bean, split
1 c Sugar
10 each Egg Yolks
2 c Dried Cherries

| Method |
| Break up donuts by hand into approx. 1 inch pieces.
In heavy sauce pot combine cream and vanilla.
Bring cream to a simmer over medium heat.
In metal bowl, whisk egg yolks and sugar thoroughly.
Remove cream from heat and temper into egg yolk mixture
to form a custard.
Combine donuts, dry cherries and custard and mix
thoroughly by hand.
Allow mixture to sit so donuts are completely soaked (10 min.)
Pour mixture into greased loaf pan.
Bake uncovered at 325 degrees until set (approx. 30 minutes)
Allow pudding to cool completely.
Remove from bread pan and slice to desired thickness.
Serve warm with a scoop of your favorite ice cream. |
