Yellow Fin Tuna Tartar (with soy, ginger & sesame)
4 Servings
Ingredients
16 oz yellowfin tuna
2 t toasted sesame seeds
2 t chopped ginger
2 t chopped shallots
2 t chopped chives
1/2 t ground cumin
2 T olive oil
1 t sesame oil
2 T soy Sauce
pinch salt
1/2 t chili oil
8 oz fried noodles
Method
  • With a sharp knife, dice the tuna into pea-sized cubes.
  • Place tuna in a mixing bowl and sprinkle with all dry ingredients except fried noodles.
  • Mix oils and soy sauce in a small ramekin and drizzle all except for 1 tablespoon into mixing bowl.
  • Gently toss the entire tartare mixture until tuna is completely coated in seasonings.
  • Mold 3 oz of tartare in the center of a chilled plate and drizzle the remaining of the oil/soy mixture around tartare.
  • Top with fried noodles.
