Shrimp and Grits
4 Servings
Ingredients for Sauce
1 lb Shrimp (16-20 count)
1/2 lb Andouille Sausage (bias-sliced)
6 t Olive Oil
2 C Heavy Whipping Cream
1/2 C Red Bell Pepper, diced
1/2 C Green Bell Pepper, diced
1/2 C Mushrooms, sliced
1/2 C “Carolina’s Spice Mixture”
To Taste Salt and Pepper
Method for Sauce
  • Add oil to a hot sauté pan.
  • Add shrimp & andouille sausage.
  • Sauté until shrimp begins to turn pink, and sausage begins to brown.
  • Add peppers and mushrooms.
  • Sauté for three minutes, or until peppers are tender.
  • Add heavy whipping cream and Carolina’s Spice Mixture
  • Stir and mix well.
  • Method for Grits
    • Prepare grits as directed.
    • Add cheese just before removing from heat.

    1/4 C Shredded Cheddar Cheese, per serving
