Shrimp, Grits and Sausage
Serves 4
Ingredients for Grits
1 cup grits
½ stick butter
½ qt. whipping cream
3 cups water
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. white pepper  
Method for Grits
In a small saucepan, add all ingredients EXCEPT grits.  Bring to a boil.  Add grits and turn off the heat. Stir occasionally uncovered.
Ingredients for Gravy
1 Tbs. Beef base
1 qt. water
1 tsp onion powder
   
Method for Gravy
Add all gravy ingredients in a small saucepan on low heat stirring occasionally. Bring to desired temperature.    
Ingredients for Shrimp & Sausage
1 lb large shrimp
1 lb smoked Hillshire Sausage
1 med. green bell pepper
1 med. yellow onion - sliced
½ stick of butter
Method for Shrimp & Sausage
Sauté all shrimp & sausage ingredients in sauté pan until shrimp is pink.   Add gravy.  Pour grits in bowl and cover with shrimp, sausage and gravy.
