| Ingredients |
8 Granny Smith Apples
1 lb, 4 oz Granulated Sugar
8 oz Dry White Wine
1 oz Cinnamon Powder
8 oz Raisins
1 Stick Melted Butter
8 Slices White Bread, Challah, or Brioche |

| Method |
| Peel, core and slice apples.
Combine prepared apples with next 4 ingredients in medium saucepan.
Cook over high heat for 10 minutes, until juices begin to boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for another 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and allow to completely cool.
Place 2 tablespoons butter into 8 individual soup bowls, and place 2 slices of bread in each bowl.
Place some of the cooled apple mixture on top of the bread and refrigerate.
To serve, warm slowly in oven until warmed through.
Serve with creme anglais or ice cream. |
