Chef David Szlam
Szlam grew up in Atlanta, but worked in Charleston at Hank's (Where he met Elliott), as well as Beaumont's and Bennet's on the market. His most extensive training, however, was gained in San Francisco, where he graduated from the prestigious California culinary academy, earning a degree in their Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts program, while in San Francisco, he also worked at Campton Place under Chef Daniel Humm (one of the top ten rising chefs in America); at Charles Nob Hill under Chef melissa Perrello. (Also one of the top ten rising chefs in the country); and at La Folie, one of only three four star restaurants in San Francisco. Szlam also apprenticed at Chez Panisse, Gary Danko's and Michael Mina.
Chef Corey Elliott
Elliott, Who grew up in Charleston, brings his own sensibility to the enterprise, by bringing an authentic Lowcountry touch to the very sophisticated menu. He is a graduate of the Trident Culinary School and most recently was chef at the Carolina Yacht Club, responsible for all special events as well as supervising two kitchens. Prior to the Yacht Club, he was Sous Chef for Christian Deslengin at Beaumont's. Deslengin was awarded two different Michelin stars in restaurants in France and gave Corey a crash course in classic Gallic cuisine.
