Executive Chef Glynn R. Swain Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, moved to Charleston to pursue a Culinary Arts degree from Johnson & Wales University, which he received in 1993. While in school, Glynn worked at Magnolias Uptown, Down South, and was promoted to Executive Chef to open their sister restaurant, Blossom Café. He also worked with Tom Smith Catering to gain experience in different aspects of the industry. He then went to the Mustard Seed on James Island where he worked as Soux Chef and was then promoted to Executive Chef to open the Summerville location. He now resides in Summerville where he lives with his fiancé.
Soux Chef April L. Ebert Born near Philadelphia, April grew up on the coast of North Carolina. She moved to Charleston to attend Johnson and Whales. Learning both kitchen and dining room procedures, she received her degrees both cum laude in 2002. She started in the dining room at A.W. Shucks but felt her talents were best utilized in the kitchen and worked her way up to soux chef at Mustard Seed in Summerville where she now resides with her son and fiancé.
