Chef Gabriel Vega aka “Gabe” is the Executive Chef at The Radisson Austin North Hotel in Austin Texas since 1994. Chef Gabe believes that continuing education and professional development is essential to the success in his chosen field. He has devoted much time and energy at the Medallion University School of Culinary Arts.
Chef Gabe continued his career in food and beverage with Marriott Hotels. He opened as Chef at the Marriott River Center, San Antonio, TX, Marriott San Francisco and Marriott CasaMagna Cancun Resort, Cancun Mexico. Chef’s passion for food began at the age of 13 when he moved to Texas. He ate at a restaurant and enjoyed a delicious slice of cheesecake and thought to himself, I can work here making these delicious cheesecakes and eat as many as I want. Chef later worked for this restaurant and ate so many cheesecakes that he really dislikes cheesecake now.
Chef has developed many of his own fresh and creative recipes for our menu. He draws his greatest inspiration from Mexican cuisine.
Chef enjoys his leisure time with his beautiful children and his Doberman pinscher “Rock” and Chihuahua “Angel”.
